Bad service

I was told it would take about 30 - 45 minutes to do the emissions and safety testing but ultimately took 5 hours. They gave me a list of items I needed to fix before they would conduct the emissions test. It was $1357.43 to pass safety inspection to include over 24 hours to do the work (so much for a 30-45 minute job. I could have gotten a better deal to fix everything at Sam's club but didn't want to waste more time). I came back, paid and left for the DMV. Found out that they didn't complete the emissions testing, the very thing they claim to do often. I hardly ever write reviews unless the service is exceptionally good/bad. This is a complete fail. Shirlington Service Center, do better! or at least do the minimum to get what should be a simple safety and emissions testing done.

Absolutely Horrible Experience – Do Not Trust This Shop I called this Shell gas station to ask if I could walk in for an oil change, and they told me to come by. I went in and got an oil change and tire rotation. It took about an hour and a half, and I paid $113. The moment I drove off, I heard strange noises. Within 60 seconds, my car completely broke down just two blocks away — the entire front driver’s side tire came off and rolled into the street. I got out and realized they had forgotten to put the lug nuts back on that tire. This careless mistake caused serious damage to my vehicle and put me in a dangerous situation. When I went back, they told me they couldn’t even begin processing a claim with their insurance until the next day. I was left without a car for several days, all because of their negligence. This was a completely avoidable and dangerous mistake that could have caused an accident. The inconvenience, stress, and damage it caused me were unreal. DO NOT bring your car here for any kind of servicing. They are careless and irresponsible.

I appreciate your feedback and apologize for the mistakes made. Unfortunately, a claim could not be made until the next day due to the owner’s son dealing with the death of the owner. A claim was made and our insurance will definitely take care of you and your vehicle. I again apologize for the mistakes made and am not arguing against that. But I assure you your vehicle will be taken care of. I tired to explain this to you over the phone the next morning but I am sorry you just didn’t understand.

My family has been going to them since 1975. My brother worked there in the late 80s and early 90s. They treat us like family and have .taken care of all the cars we have brought them over the years. They're prices are fair and reasonable and take great care of your car and the customer service is excellent. They been here since before I moved here and are an independent business. Please check them out they will take care of your car and fix it properly. I hope you will check them out.
